Sharon Stone of Ilminster is celebrating 15 years in business at Organic Rhythm by introducing The Drum Bus - An American School bus imported from New York and converted as a mobile venue. Recently appearing on stage at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil, and at Dartmouth Music Festival, Sharon and her team from the Yeovil African Drumming Group are delighted to get back to drumming after the pandemic nearly wiped the business out. Sharon has worked at many local events including the Royal Bath and West Show, The Somerset County Show and countless Schools, Play Days, Fetes and celebrations. She has also led team building sessions further afield including BBC Studios, Rick Steins management team and chief scout Bear Grylls once joined her workshops at an International Scouts Jamboree. She is currently offering fun African Drumming classes in Yeovil, Ilminster and Horton. The 35 ft long yellow American school bus imported from New York will soon be on the road here in Somerset. It's been converted to allow space for interactive workshops in a variety of settings including schools, weddings and other events. Affectionately named Yellow Bird in tribute to Sharon's parents, Nina and John Stone formerly of Ilminster the Drum Bus will be officially launching at a celebration event on Sunday 3rd July at Yeovil Rugby Club. Drum Bus will be available to see, along with drumming performances and other entertainment. You can get tickets to this event from www.bookwhen.com/organicrhythmdrumming.
